Although we are currently unable to meet together at church because of the Coronavirus outbreak, we are still together in spirit. For readings and prayers related to Mothering Sunday, as well as community notices, please click here. The church will be open on Sunday for individual prayer, and the clergy will be present. All of you remain in our prayers.
On the afternoon of 17 March 2020, the Archbishops of Canterbury and York issued a statement suspending all public worship in Church of England churches due to the spread of Coronavirus/COVID-19. This means there will be no services held at St Mary’s Balham until further notice. The church building will remain open, however, for those who wish to come for individual prayer and meditation. More information to follow soon about ways we can continue to worship as a Christian community and look after one another and our parish during this challenging time. Please contact Fr Robert at firstname.lastname@example.org or tel. 0208 673 1188 or Mtr Berni at email@example.com or tel. 0208 673 5987 for support. And remember that God is with us!
Please find here a letter from the Vicar issued Sunday, 15 March 2020, outlining our response to Coronavirus/COVID-19 here at St Mary’s:

At present, worship services continue as scheduled, but all non-worship activities have been suspended. Updates to follow. Meanwhile, the church is open daily this week for prayer and meditation. Please contact the clergy for support at any time: Fr Robert at firstname.lastname@example.org or Mtr Berni at email@example.com.
Due to concerns about the spread of Coronavirus (COVID 19), the concert of Latin American music scheduled to take place at St Mary’s at 6pm on Saturday, 21 March has been cancelled. We hope that the concert may be rescheduled at a later date. Apologies for the inconvenience.
